It's great that our class is online this semester! I am going to enjoy what we all have to say to one another through our moodle sessions and our blogging. See you online!
"I think a hero is an oridnary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." Christopher Reeve
I am my hero! My three graduate classes this semester is going to become my overwhelming obstacles but if I am committed to being organized, continue to stay on task, I will persevere through it all.

Yolie, I too am looking forward to seeing everyone online this semester. I'm positive we will all prevail :) and yes, it is heroic of you to be able to balance three graduate classes, work, marriage and your beautiful Sidney. Fly high and stay strong super woman.
ReplyDeleteHeroes, huh? This reminds me of a Food for Thought entry that I had my students write in their journals. Many noted that Spiderman and Supreman were their favorite heroes, but I came across a female student who listed her mother as her hero. It was especially touching to see that such a young woman could appreciate the hard work and sacrifice her mom has put into raising three children on her own, and working full-time.
ReplyDeleteSo, yes, we have a multitude of definitions of what a hero is, but just because that individual does not have super powers doesn't make them any less extraordinary.
Lan, you are a hero. Your daughter is so beautiful. I'm glad I'm her Nina. Being a mother, a wife and taking 3 classes is very challenging. I don't know how you do it, but you're doing a great job. Keep it up girl!!!
ReplyDeleteSimon, I think that Yolie's super power might me her ability to zap all of her assignments in on time and hitting it right on the TARGET! I want this super power!
ReplyDeleteThanks you all..
